Monkeying around

Although orang utan are of course one of the great apes we did also see some long tailed macaques and the proboscus monkeys in the afternoon were great.
Orang feeding in the afternoon yesterday was much better although still quite a lot of people. Four wheel drive to the proboscus monkey sanctuary was fun - but the monkeys were even better. The feeding was great and the silver leaf monkeys were tame enough for us to feed them green beans. Of course we got a bit confused when jack got closer for a photo - couldn't quite work out which was the bigger monkey ! Anyway, missed most of the rain during the drive back which was great.

dinner took a while - all ordering separate dishes when there are only two gas burners and one cook is not such a good idea - took two hours to get food but we didn't starve !
of course this was after the excitement of the evening - martyn and kays release of our very own orangutan into the wild - vicky got locked in the bathroom and it took us half an hour and the brill lock picking kit that every good physics teacher carries to get her out ! (well a pen knife and jewellery screwdriver anyway!) still no harm done (apart from to the lock which diy martyn dismantled so the catch couldn't catch anymore !) anyway that finishes off yesterday.

This morning those of us who were awake went to the rainforest discovery centre which was really interesting and we had the place to ourselves.

Currently sat in airport awaiting flight back to kk in preparation for next excursion into rainforest - flight just called.. See you later..

Come back, Jack, Megan thinks she's our only child and keeps asking for money. And the house isn't quiet other, she's just expanded to fill the space available.
Hope the orangutans didn't give you a hard time; you need to go and find your own tribe.

Hi
Hope Vicky didn't scream too much when she was stuck in the loo!! I can just imagine it..........
Anyway, monkeys and orangutans sound fantastic. Hope Vicky took loads of pics.
Tell Vicky that daddy, Will and two of daddy's mates have just gone out to launch some more rockets......boys and their toys.
Hope you post this one, there appears to be an earlier post missing...
